Cambridge Financial Partners had a few challenges in setting up their new office space. Office Remix was able to utilize their design talents and resources to help them design a space plan and look that helped them achieve everything they needed to operate their business efficiently and create the impression with their client that they were looking for.
The reception area was nonexistent when Office Remix first came to evaluate the project. The area was a large space where the client needed to create a separate semi private reception area, along with accommodating workspaces for four people. The statement they wanted to project was classic traditional with a bit of transitional flare. We started by create a reception desk. A Steelcase Dearborn series “L” shape desk was used and our craftsmen custom manufactured a crown to sit on top of the desk and finished it to match the original Dearborn desk.
To complete the reception area look, three high-end pre-owned lobby chairs were stripped of the original fabric and reupholstered with a color coordinating fabric to work with the clients design scheme. The wood was refinished giving the chairs a “like new” appearance. The remaining area was sectioned into workstations using custom Steelcase cubicles to match their color scheme.
Steelcase workstations were used to create semi-private work stations for the individuals working in the area and create privacy for the reception area. All of the panels were refurbished with new trim and upholstery in coordinating colors, bringing the whole office design together. Each work stations has a large work surface so you can spread out and an overhead bin for plenty of storage. Each work surface is new and was finished in a laminate that was selected to coordinate with the overall project design scheme.
After the first impression of the reception area, clients are treated to the well design conference room. There Office Remix finished and toned a pre-owned table to a deep espresso. The bases were custom designed and manufactured by Office Remix. Two “D” shapes, which conform to the lines of the top, were created and finished to match the table top. To complete the look Vitra chairs, with a more contemporary line, were reupholstered in a burnt umber fabric with geometric swirls to bring a transitional flair the overall design.
Cambridge wanted offices for senior management that projected old world classic style with a hint of transitional flavoring. Here Office Remix blended Steelcase Dearborn traditional desks with Hickory (HBF) pre-owned navy blue high back leather chairs and Kimball Collage guest chairs. The chairs were refinished to offset the color of the desk and coordinating fabric was chosen to pick-up the navy blue and wood tones. To complete the look, secondary office were furnished with coordinating Steelcase Dearborn pedestal desks, creating a consistent and well put-together look throughout the whole office.
